It seems month after month and year after year I have more to write about and less time to do so, between the three restaurants, family and life in general I find there is little extra time these days!
Progress...
As most can imagine opening a restaurant is a lot of work, opening 2 at the same time... well that's just silly. Once the doors are opened we'll usually give any new concept a few months to settle in, see how our valued customers receive our ideas and begin to consider modification. This process gives me a chance to play around in the kitchen, try out some new flavor combinations and make the necessary adjustments to menus, service, live music etc, etc... Now that the adjustments have been made to Don Sanchez I have begun the Retro re-vamp. This week we began by working on some new and original wings sauce recipes like Spicy Grapefruit and Canadian Bacon. Many of you mentioned that you would like to see some options that aren't burgers, well we were actually listening and next week we begin working on some new mexicanized options as an alternative and perhaps a weekly dinner special menu. Little by little it will all come together!
Habaneros...
In the midst of the craziness downtown Mom and I found some time to go over the Habanero's menus and look forward to launching some new items in the next week or two! To go along with the new menus, or slightly modified menus we will be introducing a new wine list as well featuring many wines from the Don Sanchez wine shop and some great value wines!
