Tadd Chapman Restaurants
NEWSLETTER | AUGUST 2013

As many of you already know, I went on a fun 14-day trip to California where I had the opportunity to visit some of Napa's finest vineyards, fantastic restaurants and of course help promote Los Cabos. One of the trips highlights had to be the opportunity to dine at one of the world’s finest restaurants: The French Laundry. I understand that it may not be the restaurant for everyone, but if you have ever wanted to go, I can highly recommend it!

After my (very short) 4 days in Napa headed south to good old Los Angeles! This was actually the first time I had been to LA since I was 8 years old and to be honest; I wouldn't know the difference. My main purpose of the LA layover was to do some cooking demos at the Grove LA to help promote Los Cabos jointly with the tourism board. The event, #flipforcabo was a fun day in the sun with golfing classes, spa services, some of the best hotels in Los Cabos and of course the aforementioned cooking demos. I think everyone had a good time and was able to get some positive exposure for our beautiful destination.

Originally I had planned to stay for 6 days, but ended up extending my stay to 10 at request of a local News station KTLA channel 5 and the tourism board. It was definitely an exciting honor to be able to represent Los Cabos and the restaurant group in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers! (We have attached the video below).

The incredible powers of Luis the Waiter!

Just for fun, on our security cameras last week, we posted one of our most beloved waiters from Retro Burger Bar casually walking some guests out of the restaurant and saying good-bye. As he opens the door and closes it behind them, BOOM!!! The huge glass door literally shatters and falls to pieces below him while he holds the large stainless steel handle. Even though you can see Luis from the back only, you can only imagine his expression! Click here to see one of the funniest You Tube videos in recent memory to come out of Los Cabos! [ WATCH ]
